1-Minute Speech Writing on Independence Day 15 August For Students(Short Speech)
Good morning respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends,
Today, we proudly celebrate Independence Day, the day when India broke the chains of British rule on 15th August 1947. But this freedom came at a great cost. Brave leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Subhas Chandra Bose, Rani Lakshmi Bai, and many others gave their lives so we could live with dignity and pride.
They fought not just with weapons, but with courage, unity, and the dream of a free India. Today, because of them, we enjoy the rights to speak, learn, and grow freely.
But freedom also brings responsibility. As proud citizens of India, we must build a better India with knowledge, honesty, progress, peace and respect for all. Let’s make our heroes proud.
Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
2-Minute Speech Writing on Independence Day 15 August
Good morning respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends,
Today, our hearts are filled with pride, and our voices rise in unity, as we celebrate the 79th Independence Day of India. On 15th August 1947, India became free—but this freedom was not gifted. It was earned through tears, blood, courage, and unity.
Our journey to freedom was long and painful. The British entered India as traders, but slowly took control of our land, our resources, and our rights. Under British rule, Indians had no voice, no rights, and no dignity. But they didn’t stay silent. Mahatma Gandhi led peaceful protests, Bhagat Singh embraced martyrdom, Subhas Chandra Bose inspired soldiers, Rani Lakshmi Bai fought fearlessly, and Nehru, Patel, Lajpat Rai, and others united the masses. Lakhs of common people—farmers, students, women—joined the freedom struggle.Jails were filled, bullets were faced, lives were lost. But their spirit never broke. And finally, on 15th August 1947, after nearly 200 years, India breathed in the air of freedom.
But true independence means more than just freedom from foreign rule. It means we must also be free from poverty, corruption, hate, inequality, and ignorance. We have the power to build a stronger, cleaner, united and better India by being honest, hardworking, and responsible.
The future of our country is in our hands. We are the soldiers of tomorrow—not with guns, but with books, values, and determination. Let us promise today that we will respect our country, follow our duties, and always keep the tricolor flying high with pride.
Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
