Subject: High price rise of essential commodities

Respected Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the government towards the rising prices of essential commodities.

The problem of rising prices has become very common. The prices of essential commodities such as pulses, cereals, oil, spices, sugar, onions, vegetables and other basic necessities of life have touched new heights. The steep rise of prices has hit hard the poor and lower middle class families. It has become very difficult for the people to make both ends meet. The middle class salaried people cannot manage their household budgets within their salaries. The poor section of the society and the wage earners are the worst affected. The main reasons of price hike are black marketing, hoarding, fall of production, improper system of distribution and corruption at all levels.

It is high time that government took necessary steps to control the prices. The government needs to act strictly against the hoarding, black marketing and profiteering of essential items. Acts of corruption and bribery must be rooted out. Only then the common man can be relieved from the effects of price rise.

Kindly publish my views in your newspaper.

Thanking You

Subject: Inadequate bus service

Respected Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the transport authorities towards the hardships faced by residents of Raj Nagar area due to irregular bus service.

The buses never come on time and passengers have to wait for long hours to catch a bus. Most of the buses are already preoccupied with passengers and thus can accommodate only few people. The situation gets worse at peak hours when most of the buses do not stop here. This causes a lot of inconvenience to the students, working people and other commuters.

The authorities are requested to add additional bus service in the area. Bus schedule needs to be modified and bus service must be punctual.

I hope you publish this letter in your reputed newspaper and highlight this problem to the concerned authorities. It is hoped that the genuine demands will be met.

Yours sincerely
