2 Minute Speech Writing on Freedom Fighters of India - Short Speech

Good morning respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends,

Today, I feel honoured to speak on the topic “Freedom Fighters of India.”

India’s freedom did not come in a single day. It is the result of the struggles, sacrifices, and dreams of many brave freedom fighters who gave everything even their lives for our country.

Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of truth and non-violence, united the whole country with peace and powerful ideas. His movements like Non-Cooperation, Salt Satyagraha, and Quit India were powerful, yet peaceful. Subhash Chandra Bose, full of courage, raised the Indian National Army and gave the slogan, “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom.” His bravery shook the British Empire.

Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev were young but bold. They did not fear death. They sacrificed their lives with a smile—for the nation.

Rani Lakshmibai, with her sword in hand, proved that women too could lead in battle. Mangal Pandey lit the first spark of the 1857 revolt. Lala Lajpat Rai,Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, and many more devoted their lives to the motherland. These heroes were not just names. They were the soul of India's freedom struggle. Their blood, sweat, and sacrifices gave us independence in 1947.

Today, we live in a free India because of them. But true respect is not just remembering their names, it is by living honestly, helping others, and loving our country.

Let us promise to keep their dream alive.
Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
Thank you.
