MY FAVOURITE GAME - CRICKET

 

Cricket is my favourite game. It is a famous game played in many countries. It is an outdoor game. In cricket, there are always two teams and 22 players. Each team contains 11 players. Every team has its own set of batsmen, bowlers, fielders and one wicket keeper

 

The cricket match begins with a toss. One team bats and the other fields. The match has two on-field umpires that make the decision of the game. There is also a third umpire that helps with uncertain or close decisions. The team that makes more runs will be the winner of the game.

 

Cricket has three formats - T20, Test and One Day International also known as ODI. T20 is the most entertaining format of cricket. It has only 20 overs to play. ODI consists of a total of fifty overs. The test format is played for five days by the two teams with atleast 90 overs per day.

 

The game of cricket was started in England. ICC or International Cricket Council is the governing body of the game. Cricket is one of the prominent games played in India. Children play cricket game on the streets. People sit in front of TV to watch the whole game.

 

I am a huge cricket fan. I love to play cricket with my friends after school. I play daily in the evening in the playground near my school. My parents motivate me to play the game very well. It keeps me healthy and fit. I like cricket very much.
