Short Speech on Independence Day in English
Independence Day Speech Writing - SAMPLE 1
Good morning, everybody.
As we all know today, we have assembled here to celebrate 78th Independence Day of India. It was on this very day in 1947 that India emerged free from British rule. This freedom did not come easily. It was a result of the struggle and sacrifice of many brave leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, and so on. Their lives were sacrificed for us so that we may live freely in a free country.
This independence day reminds us of the sacrifices they made. It is the day to feel proud about ourselves being Indians. We should respect our freedom and use it in the right way. We should work hard to make our country better.
Let us promise to be good citizens, respect our elders, abide by the rules, and help each other. Together we can make India a strong and happy nation.
Thank you, and Happy Independence Day to all!
Thank You.
