Slow and Steady Wins the Race Paragraph Writing

The story of a hare and a tortoise in one of Aesop's fables, teaches us the moral of "slow and steady wins the race." The hare was overconfident and he challenged tortoise to a race. The tortoise maintained a slow and steady pace and won the race, whereas the hare ran in fits and starts, rested on the way and lost the race. It means that regular and constant work pays in the long run. It is an admitted fact that those who work steadily and have patience produce better results than those who work by fits and starts.

A man who works slowly and steadily will not make mistakes. Those who work in haste commit many mistakes. A student who does not work regularly and steadily, cuts a sorry figure in the examination, however brilliant he or she might be. On the other hand, a less intelligent student who devotes a fixed time to study everyday makes wonders. Anything done in hurry cannot have deep and firm foundations. It is the slow and constant labour that brings results.

Slow and steady work builds confidence and improves the quality of our work. Thus a person who is consistent and steady in his approach can achieve massive success even if he is slow. Such a person ensures that every step he takes is put in the right direction. On the other hand, a person who is rushing and running for success without proper planning will be left behind. There is no shortcut for success and there is no alternative for hard work. Therefore, we should not do anything in haste. Only continuous and persistent work brings positive results.
