SPEECH ON TEACHERS DAY

A very Good morning to the respected principal, teachers and my dear students. Today, we have gathered here to celebrate Teacher's Day. We celebrate Teachers Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society.

Teacher's Day is celebrated every year on the 5th of September, which also marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was the second president of India from 1962 to 1967. He was a great scholar and a teacher who dedicated his life towards education. When some of his students approached him and requested him to celebrate his birthday as a special day, he said, "instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my privilege if 5th September is observed as Teacher's Day." From then onwards, the 5th of September has been observed as Teacher's Day in India.

Teacher's Day is an important day for everyone. This day is celebrated by all students with great enthusiasm. It serves as a reminder to appreciate and acknowledge the efforts and hard work of our teachers for their services. It gives us an opportunity to express our gratitude to each and every teacher on behalf of the students.

Teachers take on the responsibility of shaping young minds. Great teachers have the ability to change student's lives for better. Our teachers act as a support system for us. They provide us the power of education and help us achieve our dreams. They are the building blocks of the nation's future as they equip students with lots of knowledge, skills and positive attitude to go ahead in life.

Teachers help in improving and shaping the personality of students and they increase their productivity and creativity. They spend all their years educating us and helping us become better human being. They also prepare us to face challenges and hardships in life. It is true that teachers help in creating a good society by creating a good student.

It is indeed an honor and privilege to be taught by great teachers. Thank you all my teachers for giving us knowledge, shaping our lives and inspiring us to do better in all fields of life. Happy Teacher's Day.
