Social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, twitter and others allow people to interact with each other and share information. It helps us to create and share content, learn new things and explore new opportunities. But it has its negative impacts as well. It is being misused in current times. The highly addictive nature of social media has produced social, health psychological issues for youth. Spending too much time on social media platforms harms students as it leads to concentration problems. It invades our privacy. Cybercrimes are a new face of social media. Hackers can commit frauds and launch virus attacks. Cyber bullying is another growing trend. Fake news and rumors disturb peace and order of the society.

There is need to spread awareness about the possible misuse of social media. Unnecessary use of social media must be avoided. The technology must be used in the right way.
