Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the nuisance caused by loudspeakers.

Noise pollution is an invisible danger. Loudspeakers have further aggravated this problem. They are used indiscriminately during the day as well as night. The unrestricted use of loudspeakers at religious places, marriages, gatherings, parties, rallies and all other functions has completely disturbed the calm and peaceful atmosphere of the city. People are blatantly violating the noise pollution norms and laws. Of all others, students are the worst sufferers. The annual examinations are approaching near. With so much noise around, students find it difficult to concentrate on their studies. Moreover, exposure to loud noise can cause hearing loss, high blood pressure, sleep disturbances and stress. So it is harmful to everyone.

I, therefore, request you to kindly publish this article in your esteemed daily so that the concerned authorities look into the matter and put some check on the use of loudspeakers in the city.
